Mini Christmas/X-mas moss is similar to regular Christmas moss, but stays smaller and grows more densely. When grown under higher lighting, the shoots form triangular outlines like Christmas trees, giving them their name. With the addition of CO2, they will grow even more dense. Moss can be attached to driftwood, stones, or even be used as a carpeting plant. It is a plant with low demands that’s easy to care for. It can provide great coverage for small fish and shrimp. Beware: may contain snails/eggs. Also, depending on where I grab the moss from in the tank, it may look more like Java moss from growing under low lighting, but will get its typical appearance after it has been growing under sufficient lighting.
